Jill Michell’s paintings are a foray into the modes of representational painting. Jill received a BFA in painting from the University of MN and continued her education by studying a traditional approach to Plein Air and Still Life painting. She has exhibited her work at the Groveland Gallery, Katherine Nash Gallery, Minneapolis College of Art & Design, and has had numerous studio exhibitions in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Jill’s work is part of the permanent collection at the University of Minnesota.  She was a finalist for the Jerome Grant of Emerging Artists.  She received her MA in Art Education from the University of MN and has been a Teaching Artist in the Twin Cities for 20 years.
